About Bryan Anfinson
11+ years. 300+ closings. $75M+ in sales. 5-star rated. When you hire me, you work with me.
REALTOR® at Hegg REALTORS® — South Dakota’s most established brokerage, founded 1945. State Director, Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire (2025). Certified First-Time Homebuyer Instructor.
Why I Do This Work
I became a licensed REALTOR® in 2015 — not because I wanted to “get into real estate” the way some people wander into a career, but because I saw what happened when families did not have someone in their corner. I watched friends and neighbors work with agents who disappeared after the listing went up. I saw first-time buyers make avoidable mistakes because nobody took the time to explain the process. And I saw sellers leave money on the table because their agent was more interested in a quick close than a good outcome.
I wanted to be the agent I would want to hire — someone who actually knows this market, tells the truth even when it is not what you want to hear, and stays in the deal from the first phone call to the closing table.
Eleven years later, I have closed over 300 transactions representing more than $75 million in sales volume across the Sioux Falls metro. I have sold homes in every major neighborhood: McKennan Park, Harrisburg, Tea, Brandon, southeast Sioux Falls, downtown, Dell Rapids, Canton, Lennox, Crooks, Hartford, and Baltic. I know where the floodplain boundary runs in north Sioux Falls, which Harrisburg cul-de-sacs back up to the trail system, which Tea subdivisions have the best lot sizes, and which McKennan Park blocks get the best trick-or-treating. This is not Google research — it is what you learn by spending 11 years working the same streets.
I also work alone by design. I do not run a team. I do not hand off showings to assistants or delegate offer strategy to a transaction coordinator. When you hire me, I am the person you work with from the first phone call through closing day. Every showing. Every negotiation. Every question.
Credentials & Authority
State Director — Realtor Association of the Sioux Empire (2025)
Peer-elected. I work directly with South Dakota state legislators on property rights legislation, land use policy, and property tax reform. When the legislature discusses changes to how property taxes are assessed or how real estate transactions are regulated, I am at the table. No other individual agent you will interview in Sioux Falls currently holds this credential.
Certified First-Time Homebuyer Instructor — Lutheran Social Services
I teach the homebuyer education classes that SDHDA and lenders require for first-time buyers accessing down payment assistance and below-market rate programs. I do not just know about FHA, VA, USDA, and SDHDA programs — I teach them.
REALTOR® at Hegg REALTORS® — Est. 1945
South Dakota’s most established brokerage. Eight decades of community presence. A network of 200+ agents that gives my clients early listing access and institutional trust no newly formed team can replicate.

Why I Chose Sioux Falls
I take my kids to Falls Park on Saturday mornings. We walk the trails and usually end up at Bread & Circus for sandwiches afterward. My daughter is in the Harrisburg school district. I hunt pheasants outside Dell Rapids in October. I have eaten at Parker’s Bistro enough times to have a favorite dish and at CH Patisserie enough to know the macarons sell out early on weekends. I have skied Great Bear in January and biked the Greenway in July.
That matters because when a family moving from Minneapolis asks me whether McKennan Park or Harrisburg is the right fit, I am not pulling up a comparison chart. I am telling them from personal experience which neighborhood has the walkability they are used to, which school has the programs their kids would thrive in, and which subdivision has the lot sizes that make a real difference when you have a dog and two kids.
I could do this work from anywhere. I choose to do it here because Sioux Falls is where my family lives, where my community is, and where I know the market with a depth that only comes from being present — every day, every season, every year.
Why I Work Alone — and Why That Matters to You
The industry has trended hard toward the “team” model. Large teams with 10-20 agents split up work so the lead agent can handle volume. From a business standpoint, it makes sense. From a client standpoint, it is often a problem that does not become visible until you are deep into a transaction.
Here is what typically happens on a large team: You research the lead agent — the one with the reviews and the track record. You decide to hire them. Then someone you have never met shows up to your showing. The offer strategy comes from a transaction coordinator with two years of experience. Your phone calls go to an assistant. The lead agent you hired is working on other deals.
That does not happen with me.
The number of transactions I close is limited by what I can personally manage without compromising quality. That is intentional. When something unexpected comes up — a failed inspection, a difficult negotiation, an appraisal that comes in short — I am the person handling it. Not someone assigned to it. Me. With 11 years of data and context behind every decision.
When you hire me, you work with me. That is not a marketing line. It is a guarantee I have kept for 300+ transactions.
Community Involvement
Founder — 100 Men Who Care Sioux Falls
I founded this organization to make it easy for men in Sioux Falls to give in a meaningful, efficient way. We gather quarterly. Three members pitch a local nonprofit. We vote. Everyone writes a check directly to the winner. No committees. No galas. No overhead. The organization has directed $30,000+ to Sioux Falls nonprofits serving food insecurity, youth development, mental health, veteran support, and community programs.
