Things to Do in Sioux Falls

Much of what there is to do in Sioux Falls is concentrated downtown — an arts-and-science center, a rotating outdoor sculpture exhibit, local breweries and restaurants — with the region’s largest shopping to the south. The downtown arts scene

Downtown Sioux Falls anchors the city’s arts and culture.

Washington Pavilion — a downtown arts-and-science center housed in a renovated historic building, combining performing arts, visual arts and interactive science under one roof.
SculptureWalk — one of the largest outdoor public sculpture exhibits anywhere, with 50+ rotating sculptures lining the downtown streets between the Washington Pavilion and Falls Park. The public votes on its favorites each year.

Downtown (DTSF)

Dining, breweries and a renovated warehouse district

The downtown core mixes restored warehouse spaces with an independent food-and-drink scene.

8th & Railroad Center — a renovated warehouse complex filled with local shops, galleries, restaurants and breweries.
Local breweries — downtown’s craft-beer scene includes Remedy Brewing Company, Severance Brewing Company and WoodGrain Brewing Co., several within walking distance of each other.

Shopping

The region’s retail hub

The Empire Mall — the largest shopping mall in South Dakota, with 160+ stores and anchors including Dillard’s, Macy’s and JCPenney. It serves as the regional retail hub for a wide area of the upper Midwest.
